Jack the Ripper
A Killler Musical by Frank Nimsgern & Reinhardt Friese
World Premiere: 2022 Theater Hof
Synopsis
London, 1888: In the multicultural district of Whitechapel, a series of murders shocks the population and the police. Prostitutes are found brutally mutilated and murdered. The perpetrator stages various messages as a phantom—Jack the Ripper.
In an already tense socio-political situation, an incited vigilante group soon takes to the streets to catch the perpetrator. The investigating inspector, Abberline, soon asks himself: Is he looking for a culprit or does he need a scapegoat to calm the situation? And who is the murderer, whom many suspect is to be found in the highest circles? Abberline must also admit to himself that he is concerned about one of the prostitutes, and not only because her life is in danger…
